Madigan: Ameren scheme produced unfair rates for customers

"Ameren Illinois customers are paying "grossly unfair" prices for electricity because of collusion and bid-rigging among participants in a power auction that included Ameren's power marketing arm, according to a complaint Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan filed with federal regulators Thursday."

Every time I hear some right wing nut job talk about how the government needs to just let the free market take care of policing itself, I just want to scream. And they have the nerve to complain about their power bill....
