Obama Ahead in Texas Caucuses

NPR seems to think Obama won Texas after all, why does no one else care? The talk before the Texas primary was that if Hillary lost one of Texas or Ohio, she was sunk - it looks like she did.... If you do the math - it looks like she is sunk. Jonathan Alter has an update on Hillary's math problem here.

After almost everyone in the media (Glenn McCoy and Tom Toles notwithstanding, naturally) giving Obama a free pass and annointing him savior of all he surveys, I think it is refreshing to remember that Clinton is still a viable candidate. All states and territories with Primaries have a place in the process. For now, Golden Boy Obama can enjoy his crown sitting on it.

After this nonsense of his presidential candidacy slides into forgotten history, I am confident the masses will survive the agony of withdrawing from so many months of Chicago's Almighty Auditory Hallucinogenic. Those of us in Illinois could actually see him begin his job as a senator representing the interests of our state and genuinely earning that substantial paycheck we give him. Something he has yet to do.

I am not sure exactly what you mean by "free pass". The press was delighted to print photos of Obama in African garb and proclaim he was a Muslim at the behest of the Clinton campaign... That aside, his voting record while in the US Senate has been almost the same as Clinton's with only a few notable exceptions (The Kyl-Lieberman Amendment comes to mind). I think either one will make a far better President then either Bush or McCain... I just wish the Clinton campaign would stop with the Rove type smears... We do not need to stoop that low, and the fact of the matter is - she is alienating far more Dem's then she is resonating with. The only people this type of dirty campaigning does resonate with is the Rush Limbaugh listeners, who are voting for in her in droves in the hops of trashing her in November....
